Review of the First Peel Me A Grape
The poster had said ‘music from a woman’s mind at 4 in the morning’, well I don’t know about the 4 in the morning bit. However, the new Sunday evening event from the creators of Frank’s Happy Hours at The Auld Shillelagh certainly had everyone going. Wet Sunday nights in Stoke Newington are not renowned for bring people out but the joint was jumping. Belinda the DJ managed to pack in a wide range of musical styles and tempos which really caught the imagination. It was an evening of pure enjoyment. And alongside the world famous Auld Shillelagh Guinness the Sparkly stuff seemed to be going down very well. Classic movies like Gilda and Some Like It Hot supplied by the Film Shop played on the Big Screen. And as always Il Bacio supplied a full range of its fine pizzas. Yet again, The Auld Shillelagh has come up with another unique winner.
