In Germany and many parts of the world, Oktoberfest has grown into a huge festival with lots of food, beer, music, and fun. The large tent at the Theresienwiese in Munich forms the framework for the celebrations. The event started with a ceremonial tapping of beer kegs by the mayor at Oktoberfest.
